Patron of the Arts
Marina D’Aguilar (née Benjamin) was born in Nassau. Her appreciation for art was honed during her travels with her husband Vincent to many major cultural centers around the world. They recognized a need to support the visual arts in The Bahamas and, slowly established themselves as collectors of Bahamian art.
Marina once stated that “Vincent’s love for art spilled over” into her life and that of their children, Dayne and Dionisio. Long after Vincent’s passing, Marina continued to support the Bahamian art community, until her passing in 2022 at age 87.
