Fisherman, Vendor Pioneer
For years, fisherman Miller could be found at his seaside office – a prosperous conch stand set against the backdrop of the ocean at Montague Beach.
He had been in business there since 1982, and proudly boasted that his stand was the first of its kind at Montague.
Eventually the spot became a popular location for local fishermen to sell fresh fish and conch.
This portrait photograph of Mr. Miller, in his white rubber boots, cowboy hat and crooked grin, shows him to be colourful character.
Well-respected by the other vendors, he was an immensely friendly man who has built a good reputation and a loyal customer base.
