Education and Science Officer, Terrestrial Biologist
Scott Johnson loves working with wildlife, ecosystems, and people. He is motivated by a strong desire to educate Bahamians on the importance of terrestrial wildlife and the preservation of native and endemic species.
His research interests include terrestrial birds, reptiles, and Bahamian ecology.
He pioneered a mission to save the rarest Bahamian bird – the Bahama Oriole. Dubbed the “snake man” by many for his masterful and well-known handling of snakes, Scott enjoys teaching people how to respect and nurture Bahamian wildlife, rather than fear it.
