Drummer, Musician, Tourism Ambassador

John Berkley ‘Peanuts’ Taylor has been entertaining crowds around the globe for over seventy years. Peanuts earned his nickname and reputation at the early age of four when he was walking past the famous Paul Meeres Club.

Seeing Meeres, young John bragged to him, “I can sing and dance better than you!” When Meeres, a famed dancer, responded: “You’re nothing but a peanut,” John went into his song-and-dance routine.

Meeres was so impressed with John’s charisma that he hired the youngster on the spot and he’s been fondly known as ‘Peanuts’ ever since.
