Retired RBPF Superintendent and Band Director
Dustan Babb was the bandmaster of the world famous Royal Bahamas Police Force Band for many years, a position for which he received numerous awards and accolades.
He joined the band in 1955, becoming a versatile musician on many instruments – although, he says the trumpet was amongst his favourite. In 1978, Babb, Superintendent at the time, took over as Director of Music. Under his leadership, the band began playing more contemporary and pop music, which broadened its appeal.
