First Premier of The Bahamas
Sir Roland Theodore Symonette was the first Premier of the Bahamas. He was the leader of the United Bahamian Party (UBP) which was the ruling party between 1958-1967. Despite having only six years of formal education, Sir Roland became one of the wealthiest men of his generation.
